La Lancha Resort overlooks the beautiful and unspoiled Lake Peten Itza located in Guatemala near the region of Tikal, one of the archeological wonders of the world.
From the Main Lodge, winding paths lead to secluded guest Casitas. Each is brightly decorated, inspired by native art furnishings. The Rainforest Casitas have a view of the surrounding forest and partial view of the lake, while the Lakeview Casitas offer a breathtaking panorama of Lake Peten Itza.

There is a main lodge, with soaring thatch roof and open views, with restaurant, bar, gift shop with local handicrafts and a bi-level swimming pool.

It is just a short walk to the lake where you can swim, canoe, kayak or fish. There are numerous trails for hikes to explore the local flora and fauna and for bird watching.

They take pleasure in arranging excursions to numerous destinations including the inspirational locale of Tikal or the island city of Flores. A skyway walk through the canopy of the rainforest provides the ideal vantage for bird watching and nature observation.

La Lancha is located 30 minutes dreive from Flores International Airport. There are several flights a day from Belize city and Guatemala City to Flores. For an additional airport fee, tehy can arrange transport from Flores International by land, or via "Sofia", their private twin engine aircraft. Flights may also be arranged from Turtle Inn to Flores. Transportation arrangements must be made in advance at the time of your reservation. Traveling by road from Blancaneaux to La Lancha takes two hours and includes clearing Customs and Immigration at the Belize/Guatemalan border.
